Within the celebration of the Syrian Culture Days held under the title Culture, Authenticity and Renewal, the Hanna Mina Forum for Novel Creativity was launched today at the headquarters of the Children’s Public Library Association in Dar al-Assad for Culture in Latakia, with the participation and attendance of a group of writers, intellectuals and those interested in literary affairs.

The two-day forum includes two discussion sessions that deal with, on the first day, the axes of the popular hero in Mina’s novels, shared by Drs. Latifa Barham and Bana Shabana and the Sea in Mina’s novels by Dr. Fatima Bella and Zakwan al-Abdo. The dialogue session is supervised by Dr. Muhammad Basal, head of the branch of the Arab Writers Union in Latakia.

The forum's sessions on the second day will deal with the late writer Sidqi Ismail and his creative world, in which Dr. Salah Saleh, researcher Nazir Jaafar and novelist Faiza Daoud will participate.

Dr. Basal confirmed in a statement to SANA reporter that Mina is one of the great Arab and international novelists, and his works have been translated into many languages, because he is a great creative stature that deserves celebration and honor, pointing to the importance of his works, which although they have been studied a lot by researchers, are rich and have originality that prompts them to delve into them, especially with the proximity Minh is simple people and his possession of a life rich in its details led him to different places and his history of the region in his literary production.

To that, Dr. Zakwan Al-Abdo spoke about his participation in the sea axis at Minah, which made him the first pioneer in the Arabic sea novel, pointing to the importance of research in his works, which were translated and discussed a lot, but researchers return to him to explore from the text what is new and different.

On her part, Dr. Fatima Bellah spoke about the novel of the black wolf, which depicts corruption in a transparent symbol that mixes between statement and allusion. Dr. Bana Shabana dealt with the popular hero at Mina, considering that his works did not talk about a story or ordinary lives, but rather dealt with issues the size of a country, so that each of his novels constitutes tales homelands.

The novelist Hanna Mina, born in Latakia 1924, was awarded the Syrian Order of Merit of the Excellent Class in 2002, in addition to many awards, including the Arab Writer Award from the Egyptian Writers Union and the Prize of the Cultural Council of Southern Italy for the novel The Sail and the Storm. He has about forty novels and quoted a number of his novels in television series and films. cinematic.
