Defense Minister Bnei Gantz today (Wednesday) signed a historic security memorandum of understanding with Morocco.
This is the first visit of an Israeli defense minister to Morocco, and the first time that Israeli officers have stepped on Moroccan soil on an official visit.

Gantz opened his visit to Morocco this morning with a tour of the mausoleum in the capital Rabat, where he laid a wreath.
From there he traveled to the Moroccan Ministry of Defense and signed a security memorandum of understanding with the Minister of Defense, which would allow Morocco and Israel to make defense deals, in other words allow Moroccans to buy Israeli weapons.
