The Iraqi security forces announced today the dismantling of the most dangerous network of espionage and information piracy, and the arrest of its members.
In a statement carried by the Iraqi News Agency, the Security Media Cell said, "Based on the intelligence information received regarding the existence of a network for espionage and information piracy in Karbala Governorate, the National Security Service detachments began to activate the intelligence and field effort to boycott the information. Five accused are considered one of the most dangerous espionage and piracy networks in Iraq.
The statement indicated that the statements of the detainees were recorded, as they admitted that they had received training courses outside the country and that they sought to penetrate the databases of the state security institutions and leak information about the National Security Agency for the purpose of selling it, stressing that they were referred to the competent legal authorities to take the necessary measures against them.
