In Poland, the group responsible for preparing and building the border fence bordering Belarus met for the first time on November 15.
The law providing for the device has been in force since November 3.
The Polish fence should therefore be a little over 180 km long.
Its construction, which will be carried out day and night, will begin in December, and should last 180 days.
"This initiative which we must carry out is an absolutely strategic and priority investment in the context of the security of our country and of our citizens"
, affirmed Mariusz Kaminski, the Polish Minister of Interior and Administration, on November 15th. latest.

The 5.5-meter-high metal structure, fitted with motion sensors and cameras, will stretch along the Belarusian border in Podlasie, to the Boug river.
Its cost is estimated at 1.6 billion zlotys (345 million euros).
