The Syrian Company for the manufacture of grapes in As-Suwayda exported 9685 liters of one of its products to Germany, as part of marketing the national product to foreign markets.
The company's general manager, Fadi Choucair, said in a statement to SANA Economic that the export process was carried out through a company, and the value of the exported quantities amounted to more than 60 million pounds, and added to a batch that was exported last year, which contributes to securing foreign exchange, stressing the ability of the local product to compete in foreign markets.
Choucair pointed out that the company is seeking to open new export outlets during the coming period in line with the continued marketing of its products within the Syrian market, indicating that the quantities sold from it since the beginning of this year and until the end of last month amounted to 595,000 liters with a total value of 3 billion pounds, while the company's profits to date reached 248 million lira.
The Syrian Company for the manufacture of grapes in Sweida is one of the most important outlets for receiving the crop from farmers, from which many products are manufactured.
