The Halle public prosecutor's office is investigating Björn Höcke.
Now the state parliament in Thuringia is to lift its immunity.
Erfurt - The justice committee in the Thuringian state parliament is supposed to lift Björn Höcke's immunity today.
This is reported by Der Spiegel.
The reason is a request by the Halle public prosecutor's office, which is investigating a National Socialist statement by the AfD parliamentary group chairman *.
Previously, the Saxony-Anhalt Greens chairman * Sebastian Striegel reported the AfD politician.
Höcke ended a speech in Merseburg in May with the words “Everything for Germany”.
Björn Höcke could have made himself liable to prosecution.
According to a report by the Scientific Service of the Bundestag, it is a "slogan of the SA", ie the "Sturmabteilung", a paramilitary fighting organization of the NSDAP.
The public prosecutor's office has not yet issued an opinion.
Björn Höcke: opinion leader of the right wing of the AfD
Sebastian Striegel writes in his criminal complaint that Björn Höcke hardly made the statement in Merseburg spontaneously. "The statement is made at the end of a thoroughly orchestrated speech by the representative of a party that is the object of observation for the protection of the constitution in Thuringia," said Striegel. "The reported speaker can be judged as a 'fascist' because this value judgment is based on a verifiable factual basis," writes Striegel in his application, from which Der Spiegel quotes.
The AfD-Landesvize Kay-Uwe Ziegler (Saxony-Anhalt) has already been reported because of the "slogan of the SA".
An election poster with a similar slogan was circulating in Brandenburg.
In both cases, those affected denied having known the meaning of their verdict.
