Then the international day will pass for him, and the subject will return to the margins of the news - until the next murder.
There is of course importance in setting a unique day in the year, for increased flooding of the subject, but it is time to fight violence against women throughout the year.
Spouse violence is a worrying and widespread phenomenon that takes place in all sectors of Israeli society.
It is a pattern of behavior that includes physical, sexual, and psychological abuse (threats and intimidation, insult and depreciation), financial control and supervision, and obsessive surveillance of the spouse.
Murder is a recent incident in the chain of violent and violent atrocities, from which the murdered women suffered for a long time and from which they were unable to escape in time.

I hear many women in a violent system say, "I did not know where to turn, I did not know I could get counseling or treatment or even shelter."
Basic knowledge and referral to professional assistance can really save lives.
More than once we hear testimonies from bridal counselors, who came across hints of an improper relationship between the man and the woman, but did not know how to identify the point at which one should actively act to protect the woman from a future saturated with violence, in its shades.
One of the bride's counselors recently testified that in the past, during a meeting with a couple, she notices that only the man answers the questions, even when the woman is asked directly.
The bride's gaze was lowered most of the meeting.
The instructor did not know how to put her finger on the spot, but felt doubtful.
Today she will know to recognize when it is the bride's embarrassment and when it is a real distress.
And that will not be enough either.
Only continuous engagement over the years on the issue of violence will lead to a healthy family setting, which gives a place of honor to the wife, spouse, children and extended family.
It must start at a young age.
The curriculum should include, in addition to math, English and history lessons, also a lesson that will deal with a healthy relationship that will be taught by professionals.
Not as another elective course, not as a TLN, but within the formal high school system. Only education and training for boys and girls, along with professional training for relevant women, will significantly reduce violence and make the right information accessible to those who need it.
