When a potential new government presents its coalition agreement, criticism usually comes quickly from the opposition.

So it is after the presentation of the core messages of the traffic light parties.

(Read the most important points here and the entire contract here.) But environmental associations and our own parties also received more than just praise for the contract.

Union

parliamentary group leader

Ralph Brinkhaus

(CDU) described the coalition agreement as inadequate. "We don't see the departure," said Brinkhaus. It is also not clear how the plans of the planned new federal government are financially underpinned.

Left parliamentary group leader

Dietmar Bartsch

criticized above all the influence of the FDP.

"The coalition agreement bears yellow handwriting," said Bartsch, according to the German press agency.

"For the first time a federal government is led by an 11.5 percent party." Bartsch said: "No tax reform, no pension reform, no citizens' insurance and no relief on energy costs." Before the election, all three parties would have tax relief for small and medium-sized enterprises Income promised - the coalition agreement was "voter fraud" in this respect.

CSU wishes "all the best"

The

AfD

assesses the role of the FDP very differently and allegedly fears a shift to the left. The contract is a "left-wing project" in which the FDP only serves as an "appendage". In their coalition agreement that has now been submitted, the traffic light parties are now promising "prosperity for everyone, limits for nobody," said AfD chairman

Tino Chrupalla

. As a result, there was soon a threat of "social upheaval". Germany is becoming more and more of a "migration magnet" and a "socialist governess state", in which the citizens are tamed and asked to pay for a green "climate ideology".

The

CSU,

on the other hand, offered the traffic light parties a constructive cooperation - for example in the fight against the Corona crisis - but also announced a critical opposition policy.

He wishes the new traffic light government all the best in their work and the upcoming tasks, said CSU General Secretary

Markus Blume

in Munich.

"Because at the end of the day it's about Germany."

"We need joint decisions in many areas, we need determination - that must not be missing these days," demanded Blume.

"Corona is not waiting for a government to be formed."

In any case, the Union will be constructive where there is a shared responsibility and critical where it feels that decisions are going in the wrong direction.

Specifically, Blume accused the SPD, Greens and FDP of setting wrong priorities, for example with the legalization of cannabis. And there are real lines of conflict, for example, in the area of internal security. “We feel that there is a spirit of distrust of our security forces here.” In addition, Blume criticized the fact that basic coordinates in migration policy should obviously be shifted - there is a risk of a significant expansion of immigration.

Several

environmental protection organizations

have criticized the paper of the planned traffic light government as inadequate.

"The current coalition agreement alone is not enough to comply with the 1.5 degree limit," said

Fridays for Future

.

Even before taking office, he missed his own promises to adhere to the border.

Even

Greenpeace

and the

Green Youth

appeared dissatisfied.

"With the measures they have presented, the three parties are consciously opting for a further escalation of the climate crisis," explained Fridays for Future.

The activists described the fact that the coalition did not want to increase the price of CO2 as a »scandal«.

Climate activists also criticized the fact that the parties wanted to expand the natural gas infrastructure.

Greenpeace announced that the traffic light only hinted at an ecological awakening.

It does not provide the necessary equipment to master it, explained board member Martin Kaiser.

For the traffic turnaround, the contract is a disappointment.

The

WWF,

on the other hand, praised the contract as a "solid foundation for the departure into a sustainable future."

The treaty was clearly determined to "tackle the two major crises of global warming and the extinction of species," said Christoph Heinrich from WWF.

The nature conservation organization

BUND

praised parts of the contract.

Compared to all previous governments, it is a step forward, said chairman Olaf Bandt.

Overall, however, the measures were not sufficient.

Criticism of the result of the weeks of negotiations also came from within.

The youth organization of the Greens announced that the contract was not yet doing justice to social needs.

Nevertheless, the organization saw improvements in climate protection.

The switch to electromobility is not yet a traffic turnaround, said federal spokesman Timon Dzienus.

At the weekend, a small party conference will discuss the treaty.

Juso

boss Jessica Rosenthal is critical of at least parts of the contract, in particular Rosenthal is not satisfied with the planned refugee policy and the area of labor and social affairs.
