Europe recorded record infections with the Corona virus today, to return again to its previous position as the epicenter of the pandemic.
Reuters reported that Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary recorded new records for daily infections with the virus, which led to the imposition of new restrictions on movement and prompted health experts to think about distributing booster doses of vaccines.
In this context, the European Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued a recommendation to give booster doses to all adults, with priority given to those over 40 years old.
Many EU countries have already started giving booster doses to their populations, but they adhere to differing criteria in setting priorities and time gaps between the first and the booster doses.
Corona has invaded the world two years ago, after it was first discovered in central China, where it infected more than 258 million people, killing 5.4 million.
