It is one of the largest photovoltaic projects that have been set up in the Würmtal in recent years. After successful installation, the system on the roofs of the multigenerational campus in Gauting has now been officially handed over from the Würmtal regional plant to the future operator, the Bavarian Red Cross. "This means that electricity in the order of magnitude of around 200 households can now be produced at this location," emphasizes Marten Jürgens, managing director of the Würmtal regional plant.

Gauting

- According to the local company, the facility covers almost all technically possible roof areas of the multigenerational campus and has a total size of around 250 square meters. Its output is around 88 kilowatts peak, and it is expected to produce around 90,000 kilowatt hours a year. Data and facts that put a smile on Jan Lang's face. “It is important to us to be able to offer sustainably produced and renewable energy at our locations,” emphasizes the managing director of BRK Starnberg.

After the Schloss Garatshausen and Gilching locations, the Würmtal regional plant has already implemented the third future-oriented concept of local energy generation and supply. Electricity and heat are generated sustainably there and, for the most part, consumed locally in the buildings. "This also strengthens regional added value and the local energy transition," explains Gauting's mayor, Dr. Brigitte Kössinger. The multigenerational campus was created as a result of the successful cooperation of local companies. "And the community of Gauting is happy to support something like this at any time and with conviction."

With the commissioning of the energy generation plant, consisting of a PV system, two combined heat and power units and safety boilers, the Würmtal regional plant has successfully completed one of the largest projects of its kind in the Würmtal.

When asked, the company did not provide any information about the amount of the costs.
