Bad Tölz mourns the loss of a striking, versatile, committed personality.

Anton Krinner was known, among other things, as a well-networked real estate agent and passionate hunter.

He died unexpectedly on November 19 at the age of 75.

Bad Tölz - Anton Krinner can justifiably be called a "Tölz veteran".

His great-grandfather is even immortalized in a line of text from the Tölz rifle march ("Aba looks there at Krinner-Bäck") or in the depiction of the last Tölz raftsman in the city museum.

Anton Krinner was characterized by an incessant thirst for knowledge and strategic thinking

Born into a merchant family, Anton Krinner took over the business as a real estate agent in 1973 from his mother, who founded the company in 1953.

Before that, however, he did an apprenticeship in the commercial department of the Munich construction company Wayss & Freytag, where he was actively involved in the development of Munich's infrastructure in the 1960s and 1970s.

“That was one of his wildest, most beautiful times,” says his daughter Gabriele Hüsken.

As the owner of "Immobilien Krinner" in Bad Tölz, he has distinguished himself through his extensive knowledge, incessant thirst for knowledge and strategic thinking, says the daughter.

“He was a walking lexicon.

And when I once found something in the dictionary that was different from what he said, he would say: 'The dictionary can be wrong too.' "

He was someone who expressed his beliefs firmly and impulsively

Anton Krinner was at the side of many people with words and deeds, his word was also heard by mayors, district administrators and in the state parliament.

This created deep friendships.

But it was also inevitable that Krinner made opponents, especially since he was able to express his convictions in a determined and impulsive manner.

Anton Krinner practiced his profession with passion until the end.

Even at an advanced age, there was no question of retirement.

Caring for the ibex population on the Benediktenwand was close to his heart

At the same time he was a man who knew how to enjoy life.

He found joy and balance above all in his great passion, the hunt.

Since 1994 the nature lover has been chairman of the Isarwinkel community for game protection.

The care of the ibex population on the Benediktenwand was close to his heart.

He himself had a hunt in Hinterriß in the 1990s and 2000s; the Bad Heilbrunn mountain and valley hunt was his hunting ground for 40 years.

He saw it as a “hunting and forestry business” and managed a “showcase area”, says his daughter Brigitta Krinner.

Pragmatic solutions have always been important to him

He saw himself as a “simple hunter”, “who pursues the real trade”, and conversed with the local farmers on an equal footing as he did with members of the state parliament. Not only were pragmatic solutions important to him, but also well-founded regulations. His knowledge and skills were so valued that he was asked to comment on the Bavarian Hunting Law, which was published by Boorberg Verlag. Krinner was involved in hunter training as a speaker and member of examination boards. He also held voluntary positions outside the country, for example as chairman of the large game committee of the Bavarian Hunting Association - in this function he held lectures across Germany - or on the hunting advisory board of the government of Upper Bavaria. For his services he received the highest award from the Bavarian Hunting Association.

In addition, for decades he was chairman of the house and landowners association and spokesman for the Alte Schießstätte leaseholder community.

It was his idea in the 1990s to use the building as the permanent home of the three Tölzer traditional costume clubs and the district hunting association.

At a young age, Anton Krinner was an active ice hockey player

What not everyone knew in public: Krinner was active as an ice hockey player at a young age - as later his son, the professional player and trainer Anton Krinner junior, who died in 2017.

In addition, Krinner sen.

also drove motorcycle races, had done test drives on the Nürburgring.

He stopped racing after the birth of his youngest daughter.

But the friendship with the motorcycle clique of that time continued until the end of his life.

Family loses a caring patriarch

In the family, Anton Krinner was a strong character, but also a loving and caring patriarch, who enjoyed preparing breakfast and snacks for the youngest of his seven grandchildren right up to the end.

“It was important to him that everyone had enough to eat,” says Brigitte, his wife, who had his back for 56 years.

Gabriele Hüsken will now continue the family tradition in the company.

She would like to continue "Immobilien Krinner" in the spirit of her father.
