The Ministry of Health published today (Wednesday) the updated morbidity data relating to the corona plague and shows that the increase in the number of verified daily continues and stood at 711 new carriers yesterday which constitutes 0.76% of 98,287 new tests.

The average number of patients a day this week is now 591, compared to 456 last week, which means a weekly increase of about 150 new patients per day.

In parallel with the trend of the spread of the disease, there is a further slight decrease in the number of patients in critical condition who are hospitalized in the hospitals, which currently stands at 124 - the lowest since the outbreak of the wave.

Of the corona patients hospitalized in the hospitals, 81 are respirators.

The number of people who have died since the outbreak of the disease in Israel is 8,178.

At the same time, the Ministry of Advertising updated the data of the vaccination campaign and stated that 4,056,586 people were vaccinated in the third dose, 5,768,276 were vaccinated in the second dose and 6,276,292 people were vaccinated in the first dose only.

As is well known, yesterday Dr. Sharon Elrai Price, head of public health services, referred to the dangers of corona in the shadow of the start of the child vaccination campaign and said at a meeting of the Corona Cabinet that "loss of taste and smell is evidence of brain effect."
