The authorities of the Turkish regime arrested 31 people on the pretext of their association with the preacher Fethullah Gulen, whom the authorities of Recep Tayyip Erdogan accuse of being behind the attempted coup in the country in 2016.
The Anatolia News Agency, the Turkish regime’s spokeswoman, quoted security sources as saying today, “The arrests took place in the western state of Izmir, in implementation of arrest decisions within the framework of investigations conducted by the Public Prosecution in the same state,” noting that among the detainees were security directors and police commissioners who had previously been dismissed for the same accusation, as well as Retired soldiers and other elements.
It is noteworthy that the President of the Turkish regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has launched severe repression campaigns since the attempted coup against him in 2016 with the aim of pursuing his opponents and opponents inside the country, where he arrested and dismissed hundreds of thousands of civilians and military personnel.
