A whole movement has emerged from the term “Zero Waste”.

The aim is to get by with as little rubbish as possible in everyday life.

Fürstenfeldbruck - The Fürstenfeldbrucker Aline Pronnet also decided to do so - after a formative experience at the recycling center.

Since August she has turned her lifestyle into a job: As a zero-waste coach, the 30-year-old gives lectures and gives tips.

“I help people avoid rubbish,” says Aline Pronnet.

Her customers include festival operators as well as young mothers.

The latter often consider switching to reusable cloth diapers.

"Depending on your needs, these can be individual appointments or, for example, I accompany companies over a longer period of time during the changeover," says the 30-year-old.

In schools, the reaction to their work has clearly changed for the better over time.

“This is mainly due to the Fridays For Future movement,” says Aline Pronnet.

"The young people realize that it concerns them and that they have to shake the adults awake."

At Aline Pronnet herself, it was also a lengthy changeover process that began around ten years ago. “As a student, I was annoyed to queue up at the plastic container at the recycling center on Saturdays,” says the art historian. The only solution: create less waste. “For example, when I ordered a cocktail, I would say: No straw, please,” explains Aline Pronnet. Her friends reacted puzzled at first, but then immediately said: “For me too.” In 2015, she opened her online blog, on which she shared tips and recipes. "At that time I never thought that I would one day make this a job."

In order to avoid private waste, the Brucker goes shopping in unpackaged shops and tries to bring her own containers - such as her own coffee mug.

“I also avoid traveling by plane and mainly take the train,” says Aline Pronnet.

She does not have the feeling that she is missing something.

And it doesn't always have to be strict throughout: “If there is something wrapped in there, then that's the way it is and I'll celebrate the pack of chips.” LISA FISCHER
