A joint African military force killed 13 Boko Haram terrorists during an operation in the vicinity of the city of Diffa in southeastern Niger, near the border with Nigeria.
According to Agence France-Presse, the multinational quadripartite force, which includes forces from Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Cameroon, said in a statement today, "Its forces carried out this month a military operation in the vicinity of the city of Diffa with the aim of eliminating any terrorist presence in the area and preventing the infiltration of Boko Haram, which resulted in the killing of 13 people in the area." enemy ranks.
According to the statement, the operation also resulted in the confiscation of weapons, including Kalashnikovs, automatic pistols, hand grenades, stores, ammunition and pharmaceuticals.
The statement pointed out that the area targeted by the military operation includes a complex network to finance terrorist activities set up by Boko Haram.
The continuous attacks launched by terrorist groups in Niger have killed hundreds and displaced about 300,000 people in Diffa and 160,000 in the west near Mali and Burkina Faso.
