Almost a disaster: The Air Force commander ordered a training curfew due to a safety incident

The commander of the Air Force, Major General Amikam Nurkin, decided last night (Wednesday) on a curfew for training in the corps, following a safety incident that occurred in one of the squadrons.
The incident is being investigated.
During a workshop to deal with air and ground threats, held in the south of the country, one of the air crews, looked away from the plane screen and did not notice that he had lost altitude and approached the ground.

About a year ago, a safety incident occurred that ended in disaster when 42-year-old Itai Zeiden, a reserve fighter pilot from Kibbutz Shoval, and 19-year-old Lihu Ben-Besa, a pilot and resident of Rishon Lezion, were killed in a Negev Air Force training plane crash.
