The Ministry of Local Administration and Environment has approved the direct implementation of the planning and organizational studies project for the areas of Al-Hajar Al-Aswad, Sabineh, Yalda, Jaramana and the surrounding areas in the Damascus Countryside Governorate, at an estimated cost of 808 million Syrian pounds.
The Director of Decision Support and Regional Planning in the Governorate of Damascus Countryside, Engineer Abdul Razzaq Dhamiriya, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the studies of these projects are prepared by the Engineering Studies Company and come in implementation of the governorate’s strategy to limit the spread of informal housing and create new organizational schemes for the areas that were destroyed as a result of the attacks of terrorist organizations In order to meet the citizens’ needs for healthy and comfortable housing within a clear building control system, where there will be a campus for these plans ranging in size between 400 and 500 meters depending on the area, as he put it.
Conscience confirmed the conclusion and signing of contracts and giving the order to start working within a book of conditions that includes a mechanism for working with the studies company on three levels “national, regional and structural,” pointing out the necessity of these studies because the proportion of suitability in some schemes has reached one hundred percent, such as the city of Jaramana.
