The Regensburg police caught a bicycle thief on Tuesday.
The officers found four valuable e-bikes in the 40-year-old's apartment.
Regensburg - On Tuesday (November 23), a 23-year-old from Regensburg reported his bike to the Regensburg * Süd police station as being stolen.
It had been stolen from him at Haidplatz on the weekend.
In addition, the man posted a private search request on social media.
A stranger replied promptly and offered him his bike to buy back, as reported by the Regensburg * police.

At the agreed meeting point in Humboldtstrasse, however, it was not the injured party who turned up, but several officials from the Regensburg Central Emergency Services (ZED).
They arrested the bicycle thief and secured the stolen bike.

The public prosecutor's office in Regensburg had the 40-year-old's apartment searched.
Four stolen electric bicycles were discovered.
The investigation group wheel theft and addiction (EG RaDiuS) was able to assign them to previously reported thefts in Regensburg. The value of the stolen goods was given in the low five-digit range.
The suspect is now awaiting a preliminary investigation, among other things because of multiple serious thefts.
