Education Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer announced Thursday that primary classes will no longer be systematically closed after the detection of a Covid case.

No more class closures, but massive tests.

The Minister of National Education Jean-Michel Blanquer announced Thursday that if a covid case is detected in a primary school, all students will be systematically tested.

Previously, this caused the class to close automatically.

About 8,000 classes are currently closed in France, said the Minister of National Education, adding that the rate of students aged 11 to 17 with a full vaccination schedule stood at 75%.

One of the highest rates in Europe.
