In the meantime, an expert has taken a close look at the fire damage in the Kreuther parish hall in Weißach.
The result makes Mayor Josef Bierschneider happy: "The damage is less than initially assumed."
Weißach
- On November 5th, an overheated stove started a fire in the apartment building that belongs to the community of Kreuth.
Six parties live there.
The Kreuther fire brigade and their Rottach colleagues were able to prevent worse.
Nobody was injured, but the tenants of the three apartments in the left part of the building had to be moved out after the fire.
The neighboring Hotel Bachmair Weissach took those affected overnight.
After the first inspection, the damage was estimated at over 50,000 euros.
“But we're well below that,” says Bierschneider.
He could only say this when the craftsmen's offers were available, but according to the appraiser, repairing the fire damage should be feasible for a five-digit amount in the lower range.
All tenants have moved back in
In order to catch all embers, the fire brigade had to open false ceilings.
The building yard has already sealed the torn open areas so that all tenants could return to their apartments.
At the beginning of December, the craftsmen come to repair the damage professionally and permanently.
The fire had started from the apartment on the first floor and had eaten its way upstairs.
