Earlier this week, police announced that they had managed to decipher the murder and gather evidence against Kedar, today an indictment was filed • "This is a brutal murder"

An indictment was filed today (Thursday) against 64-year-old Daniel Kedar from Rishon Lezion, for the aggravated murder of real estate man Eldad Perry. According to the indictment, the background to the murder is Kedar's disappointment with the real estate project in which he invested.

Kedar is accused that after a long period of making surveillance and observations to learn about Perry's routine of life, he arrived outside the synagogue where Perry used to pray, where he fired seven bullets at close range.

According to the indictment filed by attorney Gilad Ehrlich, the defendant joined a purchasing group organized by Perry in 2018 to build a residential building in the city of Lod. In September-October 2020, an insolvency petition was filed against Perry's real estate group, as well as against Perry himself, including his personal assets. As part of the trustees' work, the court approved an outline for the restoration of the project in which the defendant invested, in which the defendant was ordered to pay an additional sum of approximately NIS 1.4 million in order to receive the apartments he purchased.

Following the court's decision, the defendant began to monitor and observe Perry, when, among other things, he used to arrive in the early morning hours at his area of residence, observe his home and learn the routine of his life. During his observations, the defendant learned that Perry used to frequent the synagogue. One morning the defendant arrived at the synagogue parking lot while riding a motorcycle owned by him, with his license plate hidden and armed with his personal pistol. Defendant waited for Perry until he arrived at the synagogue, then fired seven bullets at him from very close range and resulted in his death on the spot.

Simultaneously with the indictment, a request for detention was filed against the defendant until the end of the proceedings, in which Adv. Ehrlich stated: "The respondent's actions are very dangerous. .

The respondent performed the acts calmly, systematically and thoroughly in an intelligent and planned manner.

We were dealing with a cruel shooting without mercy the deceased was shot in the back of the neck, his chest back his hand and leg in a way that left injury to most of the vital organs in his body, a shooting that led to the death of the deceased.

In these acts, the respondent verified the death of the deceased. "
