The Egyptian Court of Cassation upheld the death sentence by hanging against 22 terrorists after convicting them of joining the Ansar Beit al-Maqdis terrorist organization.
In its session today, the court announced the upholding of the previous judicial ruling to execute 22 terrorists accused of assassinating an officer in the Egyptian National Security Agency and committing 54 other terrorist operations, while obligating them to pay 198 million and 700 thousand pounds to the state.
In March 2020, the Supreme State Security Criminal Court in Egypt issued a ruling to execute terrorist elements affiliated with the Ansar Beit al-Maqdis terrorist organization.
