Ramon Airport will return to international operations on December 10, after being closed to international flights for nearly two years.
Even after the opening of the skies and the opening of the State of Israel to tourists, international flights were not renewed, since no system for corona testing was set up at the port, as was first published in "Israel Today".
In addition, no agreements were signed with foreign airlines and no preparations were made for the operation of international flights.

At present, no companies have yet promised the resumption of flights to the airport, but it is expected that a development will take place soon, in light of the announcement of the port's return to international operations.
It is estimated that the resumption of activities will take place in the first phase mainly with the Scandinavian countries, Russia and the former Soviet Union, where there is a particularly cold climate and therefore Eilat is considered a popular destination during the winter months.
Tourism Minister Yoel Rezbozov visited Moscow last week to try and promote the renewal of tourism from Russia to Israel.
It is not yet known what was agreed between the parties, but there is a mutual desire to resume tourism activities.
Against this background, in the coming days Israel will begin to authorize those vaccinated with the Russian vaccine "Sputnik" to enter the country.
