Four children were killed and a fifth was wounded today in an explosive device explosion in Takhar province, northern Afghanistan.
Xinhua news agency quoted the provincial media official, Ansarullah Ansar, as saying that an explosive device exploded on the outskirts of Talukan, the capital of northern Takhar province, killing four children and wounding a fifth.
In a separate incident, a car exploded in a crowded square in Karti Parwan in the capital, Kabul, with no casualties reported, according to Qari Saeed Khosti, a spokesman for the Ministry of Interior.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
