With more than 20,000 titles issued each year, the Consulate General of France in London is one of the most sought after in the world. Not really surprising, when you consider that the French community in the United Kingdom is one of the largest established outside France. According to the latest figures, 140,000 expatriates are registered in the register of French citizens living abroad in the United Kingdom, not counting people who have never registered and who nevertheless live in London. With Brexit, consular activity has continued to increase while at the same time, the Covid has slowed down the functioning of the consulate. If it has always been already difficult to find an appointment for a request or renewal of identity documents, the situation has deteriorated with these two new data.
