Iraq.. A large-scale security operation to hunt down the remnants of (ISIS) in Diyala

The joint Iraqi forces launched today a large-scale security operation to hunt down the remnants of the terrorist organization (ISIS) in the central province of Diyala.

Alsumaria News quoted a statement of the Popular Mobilization Operations in Diyala, saying that the operation began on three axes, in cooperation with the army, to search the mountainous area between the Naqshbandi intersection, north of Jalawla district, and Al-Khadran intersection, north of Qara Tabbah district.

He pointed out that the area in which the operations were launched had not previously carried out any security operation due to its difficult natural terrain.

The Iraqi forces continue to pursue the remnants of ISIS in a number of regions of the country.
