Betar Jerusalem coach Arroyan Koeman held a press conference today (Thursday) ahead of the team's game on Saturday against Hapoel Hadera, and of course addressed the storm surrounding the well-publicized arrest of owner Moshe Hogg.
"It's a personal tragedy," said Koeman, "I have to invest my energy in the team. There are board members who deal with it a lot more than I do. ".
The coach added: "I and the players will be judged by the games and not by what happens off the field. Obviously these are not things the club wants. I do not know what will happen in the future but I want to be here and do not want to leave. Betar is the best club in Israel."

In Betar, the president of the Supreme Court, retired referee Amnon Strashnov, granted the team's request today to advance the sentence of closing the eastern stand that was imposed for the upcoming game against Hapoel Hadera instead of the next game against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Meanwhile, even before the press conference, the Israeli national team coach, Willy Rotensteiner, his assistant Marco Belbul and their team arrived for the team's morning training.
The five arrived to examine the assistant coach, Gal Cohen, during the certification phase of the pro course in which he is participating.
Rotensteiner said: "Seeing this practice done with mature players is a huge advantage. I thank the coach, Erwin Koeman, for making this possible and thus helping the development of football in Israel."
