In the morning, the fire brigade went on a large-scale operation in the Wolfratshausen industrial park: a broken wood chip system was about to start a fire.

The employee had dialed the emergency number at around 9.15 a.m. on Thursday and announced that smoke was rising from the woodchip bunker in the building.
The firefighters who had arrived were able to quickly localize the cause of the smoke development: “The screw conveyor motor was overheated and the wood pellets on it began to smoke and glow.
The initial fire could be extinguished quickly, ”reports Stefan Kießkalt, spokesman for the district fire brigades.
At the same time the entire office building was checked.
Fortunately, since there was no danger here, “an evacuation of the 150 to 200 people in the building was no longer necessary,” said Wolfratshausen's Deputy Police Chief Christina Loy.

In addition to officers from the Wolfratshausen police station, 77 forces from the Wolfratshausen, Weidach, Geretsried and Gelting fire brigades were on site during the large-scale operation, as well as an emergency doctor, several paramedics and members of the district's disaster control department.
The repair of the damage to the screw conveyor should cost around 5000 euros.
The police and fire brigade released the scene of the fire after around an hour and a half.
