The meeting of the Lebanese national parties, forces and personalities in Tripoli today stressed the strengthening of the distinguished relations with sister Syria.
The meeting of the parties confirmed in a statement after a meeting at the headquarters of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party in Tripoli that sisterly Syria is the only outlet for Lebanon abroad for the export of Lebanese agricultural and industrial goods and products and the import of basic materials from Syria and the Arab neighbourhood.
The meeting deplored the submission to the desires of foreign domination regimes and stressed that true independence is freedom from foreign domination and dependence.
The meeting of the parties refused to submit to the dictates of Western embassies that control the livelihood of the Lebanese, considering that the repeated visits of the American ambassador to Tripoli under cultural and developmental titles are in fact with electoral goals, which calls for condemning this blatant interference in Lebanese internal affairs.
