From Thursday onwards, a general mask requirement applies in the interior of the universities, as the Ministry of Science announced on Thursday.
If the situation in the intensive care units does not improve, the so-called 2G rule will also apply to courses from next Monday - only vaccinated or recovered students would then have access.
Stuttgart - Exceptions apply to practical events - such as laboratory internships, exams and libraries - for which a negative test is also sufficient.
The universities have been instructed to expand and sanction controls to ensure compliance with the rules.
Previously there were only random checks at larger events, now every student has to show proof.
