Patriarch John X Yazigi, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and all the East, and the accompanying delegation visited the Syrian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, where he was received by the pavilion's general commissioner, Syrian Ambassador to the UAE Ghassan Abbas and pavilion director Khaled al-Shamaa.
Patriarch Yazigi and the delegation members toured the various sections of the pavilion, where they were briefed on the exhibits in the pavilion, including a replica of the Ugarit alphabet and a visual and audio presentation of the Nikal song, which is the oldest musical record in history.
Patriarch Yazigi and the accompanying delegation stopped at a number of wooden plaques sent by Syrians from around the world to be their message to the world at the Dubai Expo. The delegation expressed its admiration for this distinguished participation.
It is noteworthy that Expo 2020 Dubai will be attended by 192 countries and a number of educational institutions, companies and multilateral organizations and will last for six months and is expected to attract 25 million visitors.
