3G has been in effect on buses and trains since Wednesday.

The first few days show: The people of Munich are sticking to it as far as possible.

One number is particularly surprising.

The 3G controls at MVG started with great commitment.

Since Wednesday you have to be vaccinated, recovered or tested on the bus, train and tram and be able to prove it.

Otherwise there is a risk of a fine!

According to the MVG, 1200 passengers were checked at the first priority check on Wednesday morning at the Stachus subway stop.

Of these, only 26 did not have a 3G certificate.

In the end, only one (!) Passenger had to pay a fine of 55 euros.

The question arises: why is that?

The fact is: the other 25 have not committed any administrative offense.

This is made clear by the police, who support the controls.

Because either the passengers were prevented directly from entering the subway and sent away again without their 3G proof.

Or it could not be proven that they actually used the train - they could only have entered the platform as a passage.

Checks should also be carried out in the coming days

Result of the four-hour work of around 20 inspectors and a total of more than a dozen police officers: 55 euros.

The MVG sees this positively: "It shows that the 3G rule in public transport in Munich has got off to a good start."

On Thursday morning too, 3G certificates were checked again at Stachus with 22 examiners.

The result of the second survey, which again lasted around four hours: of the 2135 passengers checked, 40 had no valid 3G certificate with them.

This corresponds to a share of around 1.9 percent.

In the coming days, too, there will be major controls at train stations and checks in buses, trains and trams.
