Daraa-Sana
The Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch in Daraa governorate provided two generating sets for Daraa Al-Balad and Tseel bakeries, with the aim of ensuring the continuity of their work in the field of providing a loaf of bread to citizens.
The head of the Red Crescent branch in Daraa, Dr. Ahmed Al-Masalma, told SANA reporter that the Red Crescent team installed the two sets and put them into service immediately to avoid long power cuts, pointing out that the capacity of the two sets is 60 and 80 kilovolts, which is sufficient to operate the bakeries with full power.
Al-Masalma explained that the two bakeries provide bread to about 110,000 citizens living in and around Daraa Al-Balad and the town of Tsil, indicating that the installation operations were carried out in cooperation with the branch of the Syrian Bakeries Corporation and with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
In mid-September, the Red Crescent branch provided a generating set to the Bosra Al-Sham National Hospital with the aim of improving the health services and overcoming the frequent power cuts.
