Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced that cooperation between Serbia and Russia in the military-technical field is at its highest level.
"The military-technical cooperation between the two countries has reached its highest levels, and we hope that there will be new agreements in various fields," TASS news agency quoted Vucic as saying today, during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the southern Russian city of Sochi, expressing his thanks to the Russian side for the arms batches it provided to Serbia.
Russia has recently handed over to Serbia 30 tanks and 30 armored reconnaissance vehicles.
"The first batch of Russian Kornet anti-tank missiles will arrive in Serbia by the end of 2021," Vucic added, noting that his country plans to purchase the new Pantsir-S1M air defense missile system.
From 2018 to 2021, Russia donated to Serbia a number of various helicopters, six Mikoyan MiG-29 fighters, in addition to the Pantsir-S1 missile system.
