During the hours which followed the tragic discovery, five smugglers were arrested, announced this Thursday morning the Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin.

Two survivors, hospitalized, should also be able to be heard soon by the authorities, said the prosecutor of Lille (North), Carole Étienne.

Matignon announced this meeting on Wednesday.

Gérald Darmanin will take part, as will the Ministers of Justice, Éric Dupond-Moretti, of the Armed Forces, Florence Parly, of the Sea, Annick Girardin, of Transport, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari, of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian , and the Secretary of State for Europe, Clément Beaune, says one in the entourage of the Prime Minister.

It was a fisherman who had given the alert a little earlier.
