The number of infections in the district continues to increase, which is why the district office has now reacted and imposed a noticeable tightening of the corona protective measures for the meetings of the district council.

District

- The meeting of the district and school committee on Monday in the Tiefstollenhalle in Peißenberg took place under 3G conditions. District press spokesman Hans Rehbehn stood at the entrance and scanned the vaccination records or test certificates of all district councilors, guests and administrative employees who wanted to enter the hall. Masks were compulsory in the entire building and also on the square.

When the entire Weilheim-Schongau district assembly meets in the deep tunnel hall on Friday, the measures will be tightened again.

"That is obvious - 60 members of the district council, plus the audience, the speakers and the administrative staff, it gets tight in the room," said Rehbehn.

District administrator Andrea Jochner-Weiß had already complained at the beginning of last week that the larger town hall in Weilheim, where the district council had often met in recent months, was still closed.

The same applies to the district council meeting as it was to the closed meeting last week: Only those who can present either a negative rapid test or a PCR test that is not older than 24 hours are allowed.

Even those who have recovered and who have been completely vaccinated must have themselves tested before participating in the session, says Rehbehn.

In the invitation to the district assembly, this was formulated quite ambiguously: "Due to the current situation, participation, regardless of personal immunization status (vaccinated or recovered), is only possible if there is a current negative corona rapid test result that is not older than 24 hours before the start of the meeting is, is possible ".

The impression could arise that unvaccinated people are in principle not allowed to enter.

Rehbehn said no: "The only important thing is a current and negative test".

Should district councils not manage to visit a test station before the start of the meeting - not that easy these days, free appointments are rare and the waiting times without an appointment are long - then you have "a small contingent of quick tests" on site so that the district councils are under supervision can test.

This offer is only valid for the MPs, not for the visitors.

And that could be quite a lot: Since the results of the closed conference on the future of the Weilheim-Schongau GmbH hospital are also to be presented, the “Pro Hospital Schongau” alliance has announced a demonstration in front of the hall.

It can be assumed that some of the demonstrators will follow the public debate in the district council afterwards.

The meeting starts at 9 a.m.
