Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals Manhal Aziz al-Khabbaz and Syrian Ambassador to Baghdad Sattam Jadaan al-Dandah discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop them in the industrial and investment fields.
During the meeting, Al-Khabbaz praised the historical relations and brotherly ties between Iraq and Syria, reiterating the Iraqi government's orientation towards openness and the establishment of complementary projects between the two countries to enhance cooperation and partnership with Syria in various industrial fields and in the interest of both countries.
The two sides discussed the program of Minister Al-Khabbaz's visit to Syria to participate in the Fourth Arab Forum for Arab Cities and Industrial Zones.
For his part, Ambassador Al-Dandah affirmed, in a statement to SANA reporter in Baghdad, the desire of Syria and Syrian investors and industrialists to cooperate and work with Iraq, expressing his hope that the visit would result in Iraqi-Syrian cooperation in the industrial fields in light of Investment Law No. 18 of 2021, which is one of the modern laws that contribute to Creating a competitive investment environment by providing benefits, incentives and guarantees to fellow investors.
