The competitions of the third phase of the Golan Chess Championship, which was set up by the Technical Committee of the game under the supervision of the Game Federation and the Executive Committee of the Sports Federation branch, concluded today in the Madad Club hall in Sweida, with the participation of 36 players from various clubs in the governorate.
Karim Henedy won the first place in the championship, followed by Tim Al-Shoufi, then Hazem Al-Hajj, while the under-15 category won Fajr Hamed, followed by Khader Khader, then Fateh Al-Zaila. In the female category, Haneen Abu Ras won.
In a statement to SANA reporter, the head of the Chess Technical Committee in Sweida, Eng. Rifaat Khader, indicated that the third stage is the last for the championship after two stages that were held over the past two months, indicating that it was organized in the way of the Swiss League of seven rounds and witnessed a strong competition, at the end of which the governorate’s champion was selected to participate in the Republic Championship. .
