With the participation of about fifty owners of small and medium-sized enterprises from Homs and the rest of the provinces, the activities of the “Souq Al-Aila” shopping festival, organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, kicked off today in Homs Grand Hotel.

The shopping festival includes an integrated consumer basket that meets the needs of the family at discounted prices of up to 30% of the market on various food items, clothing of all kinds, detergents, accessories and some furnishings.

Ehab Ismandar, Director General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the shopping festival comes within the program to support the marketing capacity of small and medium enterprises and provides an opportunity to open marketing channels through the establishment of agencies for various products.

Maysa Hammoud from Lattakia governorate participates in her products of evening dresses for the first time in this festival. She indicated that she has been working for about 25 years in the profession of design and embroidery and is ready to hold workshops for training and employing more manpower, noting that her participation today helps her to introduce her products and exchange creative and marketing ideas more broadly. .

On the other hand, Jasser Qashash from Aleppo Governorate, who offers his facility's production of various types of jeans for all ages at discounted prices up to 30%, indicated that his participation in the festival achieved the wide spread and marketing of his products.

Behind his establishment's products of various types of containers and canned food, Ahmed Kiwan from Daraa Governorate pointed out that his participation in the festival constitutes an opportunity to promote the product and open new markets.

While the engineer Badr Youssef from Tartous governorate, owner of a project for the production of honey, indicated that he is participating for the second time in this festival and that his products have been popular with various citizens, while Muhammad Ali, owner of a children’s clothing workshop from Aleppo, who returned to production and work about four years ago, pointed out that his participation in The festival provides him with the necessary marketing and promotion, especially that his products are sold throughout the festival period from the producer to the consumer.

Magda El-Shiny, owner of a workshop for the production of thyme, spices and legumes, indicated that she started her small project four years ago and for the second time participated in it, and that these festivals contribute to achieving the promotion and marketing of the product.

A number of citizens expressed their satisfaction with the assortment of commodities included in the festival, especially that prices are competitive in the local market as they are from producer to consumer.

The opening of the ten-day festival was attended by Engineer Bassam Parsik, Governor of Homs.
