The Olympic Committee in Israel is stepping up the process of establishing the new Olympic House through the public committee set up under the outgoing chairman of the Olympic Committee, Yigal Carmi, who will lead the project.
The committee includes real estate experts, including Dovrat Ulfiner, a senior appraiser, real estate experts Adv. Zvi Firon and Adv. Former tennis association chairman Asi Tochmeier and Gili Amir, outgoing sailing association chairman.
In recent months, there has been a keen interest among a number of local authorities in the center of the country and the committee will examine in depth the various proposals in order to recommend to the management of the Olympic Committee in Israel in which city the Olympic House will be established in the coming months.
Today (Thursday) a meeting was held at the offices of the Olympic Committee in Israel with the Mayor of Petah Tikva, Rami Greenberg, the city engineer and his staff.
The mayor of Petah Tikva is the first to present to the public committee for the construction of the Olympic House, a presentation with a formulated proposal for the construction of the Olympic House in the city of Petah Tikva.
As stated, the committee will in the near future examine proposals from a number of additional cities.
The Olympic House will be established while preserving existing principles inspired by the House of the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne and the 2020 + 5 Agenda of the IOC headed by Thomas Bach.
