The police opened an investigation today (Thursday) due to the allegations of Gondar Mishnah Freddy Ben Sheetrit, commander of Gilboa Prison, that prison guards were neutered at the request of security prisoners.
Ben Sheetrit made the remarks as part of his testimony in the investigation committee for the escape of the six terrorists from prison.
The Investigations Division claims that "following what was said by the prison commander, we are investigating what was said. No investigation is being conducted, but an examination of what was said."
A police source also referred to the dramatic testimony and said: "The commander of Gilboa Prison is exaggerating and inaccurate."

Earlier today, the Prison Service contacted the State Attorney and the head of the Investigations and Intelligence Division, demanding that the Gilboa Prison Commander's allegations be investigated.
In the letter of request, it was alleged, among other things, by the IPS that an appeal had been filed against the filing of the case against the suspects by the complainants, and no decision has yet been made on the matter.
The IPS added: "To the extent that prisoners have taken part in such heinous criminal behavior, which has the potential to harm the body, dignity and privacy of those serving in the organization - the public and organizational interest requires a reduction in the depth of things and an investigation into the truth."
Meanwhile, Minister of Internal Security Amar Bar-Lev today addressed Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit with a request to examine the possibility of reopening the findings of the investigation and the State Attorney's Office's decision to close the case against the prisoners involved in the case.
