With the help of crafts teachers and students of the carpentry workshop at the Third Industrial Technical Institute in Aleppo, many school chairs and furniture are produced to provide schools in the governorate according to their needs, thus partially dispensing with their purchase and achieving financial savings.
Ibrahim Masso, director of education in Aleppo, said in a statement to SANA reporter that raw wood and production equipment were provided to the Directorate of Education to manufacture 2,500 school chairs, 100 teacher tables and 15 office wooden cabinets within the institute, to be supplied to schools later.
Masso stressed that practical training for students contributes to empowering their scientific and practical skills and upgrading their capabilities to supply them in the labor market, pointing out that the number of vocational high schools reached 31, and nine technical institutes include 22 majors.
During SANA’s camera monitoring of the manufacturing work in the carpentry workshop at the Third Industrial Institute, Hassan Zalaf, director of the Institute, explained that they teach students the techniques and skills of the carpentry profession and introduce them to the manual tools, machines and modern equipment used in them.
