Munich - Where are the 4.6 million euros from the safe deposit box?

The mega theft at Munich's Commerzbank has been a mystery for almost four years - and despite two criminal proceedings, it has not yet been resolved.

This is mainly due to the fact that Evelyna B. did not appear in court.

She is the rich Russian who deposited the money in the Commerzbank branch on Promenadeplatz at the end of 2016.

A total of 4.62 million euros, spread over four lockers - but a year later the money was gone.

Presumably stolen by a gang who is now being tried again at the Munich district court.

The three members have not yet been proven, but that is now changing.

Because on Wednesday an anthropological expert testified in court who is quite certain that one of the accused can be seen on the video recordings of the surveillance camera.

According to tz information, it is Hüseyin N. (27, name changed), who is said to have gone to the bank wearing a disguise.

He left the vault with a trolley.

Now he is in the dock, but his attorney Adam Ahmed stated in the trial: "My client has nothing to do with the allegations."

Theft of millions in Munich: the main defendant worked in the bank himself

According to the indictment, however, Silvia F. (58): She is the main defendant in the trial and has been employed by Commerzbank since 1992.

She is said to have given Hüseyin B. and her son Luca (31), who is also accused, "unhindered access to the vault" by giving the men the access data.

According to the indictment, Luca F. then planned the theft of millions and acted “in the background”.

Hüseyin B., the public prosecutor and appraisers are certain, finally cleared the lockers.

The verdict is expected to fall in June 2022.
