The Public Establishment for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Homs Governorate has put into service a project to support the water of the village of Al-Bureij, with the aim of improving the irrigation situation of its residents.
The Director of Project Implementation at the Foundation, Engineer Ali Khalil, told SANA reporter that the project was implemented in stages, starting with drilling a well two years ago in the Qara region, with a depth of 350 meters and a density of 50 cubic meters per hour. It was completed 5 months ago from the implementation of the civil works for it, which consist of a 100-capacity ground tank. cubic meters and a pumping line of 2210 meters long of polyethylene and a diameter of 125 mm that reaches the high tank in the village and a liquefaction line with a diameter of 140 mm and a length of 3334 meters.
Khalil indicated that the last phase of the project was completed two days ago and put into service, which included the implementation of mechanical and electrical equipment at a total cost of 166 million pounds, indicating that the project includes an electrical generating set with a capacity of 125 kVA and a submersible pump at an abundance of 55 cubic meters per hour. The number of beneficiaries in the village of Al-Bureij is estimated at about 6000 inhabitants.
