Jennifer Heckenstaller's "Wunschbaum" is back in Oberschleißheim and is waiting for hard-working donors.

For the third time, Jennifer Heckenstaller, who runs a stationery store in Oberschleißheim, has set up her “dream tree”.

It is full to the brim with postcards of your choice.

There are 124 in total - too many to fit on the tree.

Each wish can have a maximum value of 30 euros, "that they can also be fulfilled," says Heckenstaller.

But many are well below that: A 69-year-old lady would like to have a “La Mer day cream” for Christmas, a family of four would be happy about shopping vouchers at DM.

A nine-year-old girl wishes "some cuddly toy, a teddy bear or a rabbit, I don't have any".

A family of eight needs shopping vouchers from Hit and a 39-year-old woman is happy "about every kind of flower, they make my life more colorful".

The letter from a senior is heartbreaking: “I am 90 years old and no longer bake myself.

She has received 124 wishes, "There could be more, there are many more people in need - but Corona is also slowing that down, unfortunately".

I love to eat Christmas cookies, but I can't buy any. If someone would bake a few for me, that would be my greatest pleasure. ”Jennifer Heckenstaller also has to shed a tear while reading individual cards. She works with numerous social institutions and groups of helpers in Oberschleißheim, including AWO, Schleißheimer Tisch, Neighborhood Aid, Planet O youth center and the community's social institutions. "Every organization has the option of selecting ten people or families and addressing them, because they know best who really needs it," explains Heckenstaller. Each completed card - absolutely anonymous, of course - is hung on the wish tree or, when it is full, placed in a basket next to it.

“Anyone who comes to my shop can take a card with them, fulfill their request, pack it and bring it over. I'll distribute it to the organizations. ”She's not interested in promoting her shop, she has far too much work to do with correctly capturing the cards. She sees herself as a contact point and transhipment point for the Christmas campaign “When some people come by after Christmas and say thank you for crayons and books, for a bit of cosmetics or toys - that always goes to the heart. Like the six-year-old girl who wants her own little desk, chair and colored pencils. “I took the card spontaneously and fulfilled it. I and my family are doing so well that I just had to help. "Should one of the 124 wishes not be fulfilled, then Heckenstaller has a few companies as sponsors who would step in. "But so far everything has still been fulfilled."
