According to Huang Mu, director general of the Industrial Casualty Rights Association, Xiao Qianwen, said that his son came to Hong Kong from Dongguan since he was 6 years old. He had worked in freight forwarding and water and electricity services in China and Hong Kong in the past. for many years.
However, Huang was afraid that his mother would be worried, so he never told his mother about the high-risk work of scaffolding. He didn't know about it until the past one or two years.
Huang's mother described her son as being very filial and devoted a lot to the family. Before, her son often switched to different jobs. He just wanted to increase his income and improve the family's economy, so he was willing to take the risk and build a shed.
Huang married his wife from his hometown in Hong Kong in 2018 and had a 2-year-old daughter after marriage. The 34-year-old wife has not yet obtained a Hong Kong ID card, so she has been staying in Hong Kong to take care of the family.
