Premiere in Maisach: This year, for the first time, a crib path has been set up in shop windows from the entrance to the station.

A couple had the idea for this: Eva and Manfred Ziemer organized everything.
And now some extraordinary nativity scenes can be seen.

The bad news of the corona-related failure of the Maisach Winter Magic spread rapidly.
Then the Maisacher Advent had to be canceled.
Nevertheless, the Advent season in the village is not quite as dreary as feared: From the first weekend in Advent, you can admire Christmas cribs in shops.
The crib path was initiated by Eva and Manfred Ziemer.
"There are so many people in the community who are lonely," says Manfred Ziemer.
In the dark season, which seems to be a bit darker again this year, it is particularly important to give consolation.
"So everyone can feel a little bit of Christmas in these difficult days."
The couple got the idea from the Dachau Nativity Path, which took place for the first time last year.
There they exhibited five self-made nativity scenes.
The tour was very well received by passers-by.
And the Ziemers were also enthusiastic.
So they got to work in Maisach.

"We asked every owner along the route, if we were lucky," says Manfred Ziemer.
“Almost everyone was immediately enthusiastic and accepted.” The Ziemers were particularly pleased that so many businesses were involved.
But at the same time it posed a challenge for them: They had to organize enough cribs that also had to fit into the respective shop windows.
The couple were able to contribute eleven self-made models.
Another six nativity scenes come from a local wood carver group.
A few ensembles of shopkeepers can also be admired in the illuminated shop windows.
There are plans for the circular route in shops
The models on display are very different: some episodes of the Christmas story are integrated in lanterns and stars, one even in a butter churn.
There are snow and root nativity scenes, and the depictions range from Alpine to Neapolitan pieces.
Once passers-by can marvel at the search for a hostel, then again at the shepherd proclamation and the Bedouin field.
A life-size baby Jesus lies in a manger made of 70-year-old wood.
And the little ones discover a splendid, colorful fairy Christmas.
Just in time for the first weekend in Advent, the cribs have found their way into the shops, are set up and illuminated.
In the shops there are printed plans of the walk, sometimes information about the crib on display is also given there.
