The AfD is postponing its federal party conference planned for December 11 in Wiesbaden due to the worsening Corona situation.
The AfD federal board decided on Friday in a conference call, as the German press agency learned.
The meeting should now take place in 2022.
According to the committee, a specific date should perhaps be found next week.

The corona incidence in Rhineland-Palatinate continues to rise at the beginning of the week.
According to the state investigation office on Monday, the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was 140.5 (as of 11:10 a.m.).
The hospitalization incidence - i.e. the hospital admissions of Covid 19 patients per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days - rose from 3.0 to 3.4.

The Rhineland-Palatinate police want to take care of the protection of the Christmas markets again this year.
There is a close exchange between the individual police headquarters with organizers and municipalities, said the Ministry of the Interior.
