Six corona intensive care patients from Bavaria landed on an Air Force plane at Münster / Osnbrück airport early on Friday evening.
The Airbus A310 MedEvac touched down in Greven around 5.30 p.m., as observed by a dpa photographer.
The seriously ill were brought by air from Memmingen in Bavaria to North Rhine-Westphalia, where they were distributed to various clinics.
Greven - For the first time, the Bundeswehr is helping to relieve hospitals in regions with a particularly large number of corona patients.
The Air Force has two aircraft ready for the relief mission.
It concerns the Airbus A310 MedEvac, a "flying intensive care unit" with six treatment places, as well as a converted special machine, the surveillance aircraft A319OH.
Two places for intensive treatment were built into this.
