This is what the Blancpain manufacture proves by surprisingly unveiling a brand new deliciously vintage pilot's watch.
Admittedly, its Blancpain Fifty Fathoms became legendary in the mid-1950s, both by equipping combat swimmers in the French army, under the aegis of the legendary Robert Maloubier, and by becoming one of the first watches by general public diving.
But it was for the aviators, almost at the same time, that the manufacture produced a chronograph which has now become impossible to find because it is produced in very small quantities.
In 2019, the Swatch Group brand had already unveiled a limited edition steel Air Command chronograph.
With this 2021 vintage, the Manufacture is once again offering a piece with a resolutely vintage look that should delight fans of time machines to wear on the wrist.
